Finding calories burnt in an exercise
By Dave Steves
It is often useful to find out how many calories you have burned while working out. Knowing this can help you figure out how many pounds you are burning in a week or month. It takes about 3500 calories burned to lose a full pound. I use sparkpeople.com to find this info. It is pretty simple to do. You first need to create an account making sure you put in your correct weight and height. You then go to their fitness tracker (my Fitness link). On this page, their is a button that says add cardio. You then search or browse for your exercise, enter the number of minutes you exercised for, and then click "Add Exercise". This will then show you how many calories you burned and saving it to your daily total at the same time. The nice thing about using sparkpeople is that they have a few helpful reports that allow you to see your weekly, monthly, and yearly progress. I would suggest this method of tracking exercise for any workout guru. |
